Topeka loves artists.
Topeka boasts a thriving arts scene that prides itself on support for local artists. The First Friday Artwalk is a monthly celebration of art, music, food and more that attracts more than 3,000 participants every month.
The city’s appreciation for art is displayed everywhere. The NOTO Arts and Entertainment District features many venues of art and creative expression, alongside food and live entertainment. The city is home to dozens of murals and an entire park devoted to art.
Evergy Plaza
Evergy Plaza is an outdoor concert venue in downtown Topeka hosting 400 events a year. It’s a community gathering space with a fountain, splash park, and ice-skating rink.
Evergy Plaza also hosts multiple summer concert series with food trucks, games and other entertainment. The concerts range from rock, hip-hop, country, jazz, blues and all other types of music.
