A basket full of local flair and resources highlighting a few quality of life and economic forecast data points for Shawnee County. The basket will include a hand-written welcome note and be delivered to the employers’ location of choice by a member of the Greater Topeka Partnership team.
A customized community tour based off of the candidate’s preliminary survey responses. Up to four hours in duration and includes lunch or breakfast. Tour guides include a member of the Greater Topeka Partnership team or an established community ambassador.

Up to five hours in duration and includes lunch or breakfast for candidate and their family. The incorporation of 1 – 2 school tours and 1 – 2 relevant organization or site tours (i.e., Kansas Children’s Discovery Center, Topeka Zoo, Shawnee Lake, etc.). Tour guides include a member of the Greater Topeka Partnership team or an established community ambassador.
An exclusive lunch meeting with 2 – 3 business or community leaders (identified by employer with assistance from GTP if desired), fully coordinated by GO Topeka’s team, and hosted at the Topeka Country Club. The recruiting employer also provides a representative to dine for lunch, and the CEO of the Greater Topeka Partnership or other GTP leadership will attend.

Choose Topeka Onboarding Engagement Menu
An introduction to a community member or family with similar interests to help with thoughtful, personalized integration for candidate and their possible trailing partner or family. Ongoing check-ins within their first 90 days of employment by a member of GO Topeka’s team to ensure they are making connections and engaging within the community.
A more elaborate and personalized version of our traditional welcome basket. If delivered in the morning, it will include fresh bakery items and coffee from a local establishment. Personally delivered to the candidate’s home or place of business by a member of the GO Topeka team or a representative from the employer. Additionally, choose one of the following to include in the basket:
- 1 month pass to Genesis Health Club (valued at $80)
- 1 year family membership to the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center (valued at $139)
- 1 year family membership to the Topeka Zoo (valued at $95)
